Admissions 2025: Ministry of Education and Training adds 3 admission methods

According to the list of codes for admission methods in the University and College Admissions Guidelines announced by the Ministry of Education and Training yesterday, May 19, in 2025 there will be a total of 19 admission methods for universities and colleges, a decrease of 4 methods and an increase of 3 methods compared to 2024.

Specifically, the admission methods in 2025 include:

Consider the results of the high school graduation exam; consider the results of high school study (report card); consider direct admission according to the provisions of the Admission Regulations (Article 8); use the capacity assessment test, thinking assessment test organized by the training institution itself for admission; use the results of the capacity assessment test, thinking assessment test... organized by other units for admission.

Candidates registering for admission need to note the method code and combination code.

Cultural exams organized by training institutions for admission; using cultural exam results organized by other training institutions for admission; combining high school graduation exam results with aptitude test scores for admission; combining high school study results with aptitude test scores for admission.

Combining high school graduation exam results with high school study results for admission; combining high school graduation exam results with international certificates for admission; combining high school study results with international certificates for admission, admission of foreign high school graduates.

Combining high school graduation exam results with interviews for admission; combining high school academic results with interviews for admission; using SAT international certificates or other qualified international certificates for admission; V-SAT exam; using V-SAT exam results organized by other units for admission; using other methods.

List of admission method codes

Compared to 2024, this year the Ministry of Education and Training has eliminated 4 methods including: combining direct admission according to the project and other methods; direct admission according to the project of the training institution; combining interviews with other criteria for admission; combining international certificates with other criteria for admission.

However, the Ministry of Education and Training also added 3 new methods including: using international SAT certificates or other qualified international certificates for admission; V-SAT exam; using V-SAT exam results organized by other units for admission.

Regarding combination codes, according to the Ministry of Education and Training, for the admission method based on high school graduation exam results or high school study results (using combination codes like admission using high school exam results), use the combination codes prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training.

For combinations with gifted subjects, gifted subjects NK1 and NK2 are determined by the training institution. For other admission methods, the combination code consists of 3 characters determined by the training institution. Therefore, candidates need to read the information on the school's admission plan to understand clearly.
