On the afternoon of July 27, the team will continue to practice on the field to hone their tactical plans for the final match against U.23 Indonesia. This match will take place at 8:00 p.m. on July 29 at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta. This is the third consecutive time that U.23 Vietnam has participated in the final match of the U.23 Southeast Asian Championship, after winning the championship twice in 2022 and 2023. The whole team is aiming to successfully defend the championship title.

VFF President encourages and trusts

In the tense atmosphere before the final match, President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Tran Quoc Tuan directly called the team to encourage their spirit. He sent an optimistic and encouraging message: "Stay calm, confidently overcome difficulties, we can do something special". The VFF President also highly appreciated the fighting spirit of the young players, especially in the arduous journey to reach the final for the third consecutive time.

He also affirmed: "The U.23 Vietnam team under the leadership of coach Kim Sang-sik has created an impressive record. We have faced many great challenges, but still stand firm. The upcoming final will be a high mountain, but not insurmountable."

U.23 Indonesia is a strong opponent, not only thanks to the home field advantage with tens of thousands of enthusiastic spectators but also because they have many quality naturalized players. However, the VFF President believes that U.23 Vietnam will overcome the challenge if they maintain tactical discipline, promote solidarity and fight with all their might.

This is a team with a strong force, quality naturalized players and a clear home field advantage. However, I believe that, with careful preparation and a fighting spirit that never gives up, the players can completely overcome difficulties and continue their impressive journey."

The VFF President especially acknowledged the efforts of the coaching staff and the entire team throughout the tournament, especially during difficult times in terms of personnel and match schedules. He emphasized that the most important thing at this time is for the players to stay calm, focus on recovering their physical strength, maintain team cohesion and promote solidarity. "Be confident in your abilities, trust each other and fight for the national flag," he said.
