100% of fishing vessels from 6m and above are registered and have full data updated on the Vnfishbase system.

According to a report by the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Khanh Hoa, by the end of September 2025, the whole province had 5,214 fishing vessels with a length of 6m or more; 100% of fishing vessels had been registered and fully updated with data on the national fisheries database system (Vnfishbase); 100% of fishing vessels eligible for operation were marked and registered according to regulations.

In the province's fishing fleet, there are 1,509 vessels with a length of 15m or more, 1,045 vessels with a length of 12m to under 15m and 2,660 vessels with a length of 6m to under 12m. For fishing vessels with a length of 15m or more, 99.54% have installed fishing vessel monitoring devices; 97.68% have been granted fishing vessel food safety certificates.

To monitor, inspect and control fishing vessel activities at sea, the Fishing Vessel Monitoring Center - Department of Fisheries and Seas and Islands organizes 24/7 duty, arranges staff to monitor the signals of fishing vessels operating at sea through the voyage monitoring system, receives and processes information in accordance with regulations; regularly exchanges information on the situation with the Provincial Border Guard Command, the Department of Fisheries and Fisheries Control, and relevant units to coordinate in monitoring and managing fishing vessels operating in sea areas. The management and processing of data on the voyage monitoring system is carried out seriously, receiving and processing information in accordance with regulations.
