Vietnam U17 team rewrites Southeast Asian history.

Vietnam U17 defeated Malaysia U17 3-0 in the final to claim the Southeast Asian U17 Championship title on the evening of April 24th.

This achievement helped the Vietnam U17 team make history by becoming the team with the most championships since the tournament was established, with 4 titles. The previous three were in 2006, 2010, and 2017.

Following Vietnam U17 are Thailand U17 and Australia U17 (both with 3 championships). Notably, Australia is the opponent that Vietnam U17 lost to in the semi-finals of this year's tournament.

Vietnam U17's journey to the championship was very convincing. The team won 4-0 against Malaysia in their opening match, then went on to defeat Timor Leste U17 10-0, draw 0-0 against Indonesia U17, and win 2-1 against Australia in the semi-finals.

Coach Cristiano Roland and his team finished the tournament undefeated, with 4 wins and 1 draw, scoring 20 goals and conceding only 1. More broadly, Vietnam U17's unbeaten streak extended to 16 matches, demonstrating remarkable consistency.

The highlight of the Vietnam U17 team in this year's tournament lies in their fluid and cohesive playing style. The lines maintain reasonable distances, the ball is circulated smoothly, and there are always clear strategies for attack. When wing attacks are blocked, the team can still create breakthroughs with forward runs from the second line.
