On the evening of July 14, U23 Vietnam had its first training session in Jakarta, preparing for the opening match at the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship.

The training session took place on a training ground about 5km from the team hotel.

On July 15, team leader Nguyen Anh Tuan and several assistant coaches attended a technical meeting before the tournament, while head coach Kim Sang Sik attended a press conference before the group stage.

According to the match schedule, U23 Vietnam will meet U23 Laos in the opening match on July 19 and face U23 Cambodia on July 22.
