This impressive achievement is not only a source of pride for Quyết himself, but also an overwhelming joy for his family and teachers.
Sharing about Tu Quyet's learning journey, Ms. Trinh Thi Thu Ha (41 years old, Quyet's mother) said that Quyet has been a self-motivated learner since he was young. "His parents don't have to urge or remind him. He sets his own goals and strives for them," Ms. Ha shared.
Ms. Ha also added that, before the high school graduation exam, the family did not put pressure on Quyet to achieve high scores, but always let him develop naturally according to his abilities and passions.
According to Ms. Ha, proactiveness in studying is the key factor that helped Quyet achieve excellent results. Despite preparing for the stressful exam, Quyet didn't stay up late or wake up early. He maintained a scientific and effective study habit, clearly demonstrating his self-discipline and self-awareness.
Nguyen Tu Quyet harbored the dream of becoming an Information Technology (IT) student at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. This was a goal Quyet set early on and persistently pursued.
"When Quyết found out he scored 30/30 on the exam, he was overjoyed and surprised. Although he was confident that he had done well on the test, the pressure of the exam room and the worry of marking the wrong answer made him hesitant to check his score immediately and he felt quite nervous," Ms. Hà shared.
Ms. Nguyen Dieu Huyen, Quyết's homeroom teacher and English teacher, couldn't hide her pride when talking about her outstanding student. Ms. Huyen said that Quyết is a very intelligent student with a quick wit and a thirst for knowledge. True to his name, Quyết is always self-reliant, independent, and very determined to achieve his goals.
Not only did Quyết excel in science subjects, but he also performed well in social sciences, especially English. Although his main goal was to pursue a science-based major and focus on Math, Physics, and Chemistry, Quyết still achieved an IELTS score of 6.0 in the second semester of 11th grade.
In class, Quyết is an active, sociable, cheerful, and friendly student. He doesn't hesitate to ask teachers until he understands something and enthusiastically helps his friends solve difficult math problems. Ms. Diệu Huyền shared: "Achieving a perfect score wasn't too surprising for Quyết. The teachers all agree that he has exceptional intelligence and determination to learn."
According to Ms. Huyen, one thing that's special about Quyet is that he doesn't use his phone much and doesn't like going on social media because he's afraid that the information on social media will distract him.
Ms. Nguyen Mai Anh, a math teacher, also shared that Tu Quyet is a student with a passion for mathematics. From the 10th grade, he showed a talent for math, always seeking knowledge and proactively asking teachers for help if he encountered difficulties. Even during the summer break, Quyet diligently practiced, solved problems, and asked his teacher to grade and correct them. Remarkably, despite being a good math student, he is very humble, always striving to improve himself, even tackling easy problems seriously to avoid any mistakes. His success is the result of his relentless efforts, day after day, hour after hour, driven by his determination.
