This morning, February 12th, the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee held a working session with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VH,TT&DL) regarding the key work program for 2025 and the plan for implementing the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the period 2025-2035. Reporting at the meeting, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Minh Tuan stated that in 2025, the department will implement key tasks: commemorating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Hai Lang district on March 19 (1975-2025); commemorating the 118th anniversary of the birth of General Secretary Le Duan on April 7 (1907-2025) and inaugurating the Le Duan Memorial Area; the "National Reunification" festival commemorating the 50th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South and national reunification on April 30 (1975-2025), and the 53rd anniversary of the liberation of Quang Tri province on May 1 (1972-2025) with many activities such as: the flag-raising ceremony celebrating National Reunification, the traditional boat race, the "National Flag" art program, the "National Reunification" youth camp...
Organizing propaganda activities to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels and the 18th Quang Tri Provincial Party Congress; the Quang Tri Provincial Family Day 2025; the Provincial Mass Art Festival with the theme "Soaring with the Nation"; Implementing procedures for the construction of the National Museum Project "Memories of War and Aspiration for Peace"; the 66th Tien Phong Newspaper National Marathon and Long Distance Championship 2025...
At the same time, we propose participating in activities organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism such as: the "Songs Connecting the Rivers" folk art festival for the 6 provinces of North Central Vietnam in Thanh Hoa province; the "Revolutionary Songs" folk art festival commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country; and the 24th Vietnam Film Festival.
During the meeting, leaders of departments and agencies exchanged ideas and suggestions on organizing propaganda and commemorative activities for important holidays and events of the homeland and country, emphasizing the need to promote the image of Quang Tri's land and people; clearly defining the funding sources for organization, with a focus on mobilizing social resources; and focusing on organizing sports activities and mass cultural festivals directed towards the grassroots level.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam emphasized: 2025 is the year of the Party congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party and many important events of the homeland and the country.
Therefore, propaganda and commemorative activities should be organized in various practical and effective forms, focusing on key areas and creating a strong impact; ensuring continuity, innovation, practicality, effectiveness, and economy; targeting a wide range of audiences; and being appropriate to the nature and significance of the event and the actual conditions of the locality.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam basically agreed with the proposals of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism regarding the plan, time, and scale of organizing celebrations for major holidays and important events in 2025.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is requested to research and propose a revised time for the commemoration of General Secretary Le Duẩn's birthday; to develop a plan for activities honoring fallen heroes and martyrs, including a flag-raising ceremony and the "National Flag" art program, with a reasonable timing to create a new and impressive highlight; to maintain the scale of the traditional boat race as in previous years; and to work with Tien Phong Newspaper to finalize the plan and methods for organizing the 66th Tien Phong National Marathon and Long Distance Championship in 2025.
Regarding the provincial-level folk art festival with the theme "Soaring with the Nation," the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is working with localities to ensure high-quality coordination in organizing the event, in line with reality and meeting the needs of people to enjoy and improve their spiritual lives; focusing on implementing procedures for the construction of the National Museum Project "Memories of War and Aspiration for Peace"...
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is requested to incorporate the opinions of the departments and agencies and promptly finalize the plan for organizing activities to commemorate major holidays and important historical events of the homeland and the country, and submit it to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration.
