Earlier, it was confirmed that the UK had approved Ukraine to use Storm Shadow cruise missiles to attack Russian territory. Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umierov refused to confirm or deny the use of Storm Shadow missiles.
Western media and Ukrainian military bloggers reported that the attack on the headquarters killed 18 servicemen and wounded 33 others, including Lieutenant General Valery Solodchuk, First Deputy Commander of the Leningrad Military District.
According to the report, 13 Russian engineers were injured, including the Deputy Chief of Staff of the 88th Mechanized Brigade.
Also on November 21, the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence Agency released a video of a missile attack targeting a Russian platoon conducting tactical exercises in the Zaporizhzhia region, one of four regions that Russia has declared annexed from Ukraine and is in control of.
