AI applications in journalism

(DN) - On October 9 and 10, the Center for Journalism Training (Vietnam Journalists Association) organized a training course on AI application in journalism. 24 reporters and editors from press agencies in Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai attended the training course.

Reporters and editors were presented with 8 topics on basic knowledge and skills to apply AI in journalism: using AI as an assistant to generate ideas, create content, plan work and remind to implement plans; using AI in tasks related to images, sounds, videos , charts, graphics... directly serving press and media content.

During the course, reporters and editors practice with many AI tools to understand the practical steps. Reporters and editors are also advised on some issues when using AI in their work.

Since the beginning of the year, the Center for Journalism Training has opened more than 100 training courses with various contents and topics to improve the skills and expertise of members of the Journalists Association across the country. Participating in training courses helps reporters and editors of press agencies to improve their knowledge and skills, thereby improving the quality of press products of many types (print, electronic, radio, television), meeting the needs of readers to access information on multiple platforms.
