Commendation of typical advanced models in culture, sports and tourism

Attending the conference were Head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Huu Dat; Provincial Party Committee member, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Dong Nai Province Pham Thuy Luan; Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai Province Le Thi Ngoc Loan and representatives of leaders of units and officials, civil servants, public employees and workers of the culture, sports and tourism sector.

In the past 5 years (2021-2025), the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector has launched many emulation movements associated with political tasks, achieving many results. New models, good practices, and advanced examples have always been popularized and replicated, becoming cultural features and self-awareness among cadres, civil servants, and public employees of the sector. In particular, during the transition period to the 2-level government model, the sector has demonstrated a proactive, creative, and difficult-to-overcome spirit, gradually stabilizing the apparatus, improving operational efficiency, and serving the people.

In the cultural field, the work of preserving and promoting tangible and intangible heritage values has received attention from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, with many positive changes; the Department has organized more than 120 provincial-level cultural events, promoting the mass cultural and artistic movement with 500 art clubs and grassroots art troupes operating regularly. The Department has focused on training and developing cultural human resources, regularly organizing training courses to improve the capacity of grassroots cultural staff.

In the field of physical education and sports, the industry has organized more than 50 provincial competitions, attracting over 5,000 athletes to participate. The provincial sports team has won over 100 medals of all kinds, including more than 30 gold medals at national competitions.

Dong Nai tourism has implemented infrastructure investment projects with a total capital of over 500 billion VND, upgrading key tourist areas, improving accommodation systems and serving tourists. The tourism industry organizes over 200 events and festivals, attracting about 500,000 visitors each year, of which nearly 30% are international visitors.

Speaking at the conference, Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Thi Ngoc Loan emphasized: With the motto of action: "Culture is the foundation - Information is the conduit - Sports is the strength - Tourism is the connecting bridge", in the coming time, the culture, sports and tourism sector will continue to promote the tradition of patriotic emulation, solidarity, dynamism - creativity - responsibility, determined to build a comprehensive and sustainable development sector.

At the conference, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism launched a patriotic emulation movement for the period 2025-2030. It focuses on 9 key contents such as: Continuing to carry out the campaign to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle; promoting the work of perfecting and improving the quality of the institutional system, mechanisms and policies in the fields of culture, information, sports and tourism. Persistently building a healthy cultural environment, creating a solid foundation to form Vietnamese people in the new era; applying science and technology, especially digital technology in production, business, management, promotion and dissemination of cultural products and services...

On this occasion, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism approved the list of delegates attending the 1st Dong Nai Province Patriotic Emulation Congress, period 2025-2030; at the same time, awarded certificates of merit to 11 collectives and 37 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement period 2020-2025.
