Applying artificial intelligence – a new driving force for digital transformation in the education sector of Ca Mau province.

On the morning of December 18th, the Department of Education and Training organized a workshop on applying artificial intelligence (AI) to promote digital transformation in the education sector of Ca Mau province.

AI is becoming a crucial factor in transforming teaching and learning methods, educational management, and promoting digital transformation across the entire education sector. Ca Mau province is currently implementing practical activities to promote the application of AI and digital transformation.

At the workshop, delegates exchanged and discussed, gaining a comprehensive and objective view of AI applications in management, teaching, and learning, as well as the benefits of information technology and digital transformation for school activities such as: educational data analysis, record management, reporting, and standardization of business processes.

In addition, some delegates also raised existing difficulties in using AI, such as: a lack of an ecosystem of learning materials and data; a lack of synchronization in digital infrastructure investment; issues of information security and integrity; and limitations in the digital skills of staff and teachers. From there, they proposed solutions to find more effective ways to apply AI to activities in the education sector.

The discussions at the conference provided deeper insights into the core role of AI in the education sector; simultaneously, they affirmed the need to view AI as a powerful support tool. However, administrators, teachers, and staff need to use AI intelligently and scientifically , mastering the technology to improve the quality of management, teaching, and learning, meeting the trends and requirements of development in the new situation.

The workshop is expected to enhance the proactive and creative capabilities of administrators and teachers in leveraging digital technology and AI to contribute to improved productivity and work quality. Through this, it aims to help administrators and teachers develop a technological mindset, proactively utilize and master digital tools and AI platforms, and be ready to adapt to the demands of innovation and educational trends in the digital age.
