Uong Bi: Promoting the people's positivity and mastery capacity

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Uong Bi City mobilized people in Zone 5 (Bac Son Ward) to join hands in building houses for disadvantaged households in the area.

Implementing the Resolution of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress at all levels and Directive No. 14-CT/TU dated October 26, 2023 of the Standing Committee of the Uong Bi City Party Committee on continuing to strengthen leadership in ensuring urban order in the area, in recent times, the city's front has focused on guiding communes and wards to build self-governing People's Groups in accordance with the actual requirements of each locality. Quang Trung Ward is located in the center of Uong Bi City, where many important traffic routes run through, including roads, railways and waterways, posing many potential risks to traffic safety and urban aesthetics. After a short time of operation, the model has brought positive results. The self-governing people's group of zone 8 (Quang Trung ward, Uong Bi city) and functional forces mobilized households not to encroach on sidewalks for business purposes.

Uong Bi is focusing on urban beautification, building a green, modern and sustainable city. Chairman of the City Fatherland Front Committee Dao Ngoc Son said: To promote the people's mastery, the City Fatherland Front always creates conditions for voters and people to participate in voter contact conferences of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, the Provincial People's Council, and the City People's Council before and after the annual regular session. At the same time, actively guide, propagate, monitor, grasp the situation, and supervise the implementation of the Law on Democracy at the Grassroots Level in localities and units according to the assigned fields; advise on the good organization of direct dialogue conferences between the heads of Party committees and city government leaders with all walks of life; regular meetings of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee with the team of village and ward cadres to grasp the situation at the grassroots level and the people, promptly orient and direct the resolution of arising cases, meeting the legitimate needs and aspirations of the people; organize professional training for the People's Inspection Committees at communes, wards and the Community Investment Supervision Committee.
