After losing 0-4 to Spain, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team (ranked 22nd in the world ) concluded the international friendly tournament held in Dong Anh (Hanoi) with a match against Kenya - the team ranked 23rd in the world.

Notably, Kenya is the opponent in the same group as Thanh Thuy and her teammates at the world tournament. Therefore, both teams aim to test and probe each other.

After Bich Tuyen withdrew from the team, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet only had 13 athletes left. These are also the faces that will participate in the upcoming 2025 World Championship in Thailand.

As expected, Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet did not field his strongest lineup, with each set constantly changing positions, in order to hide his cards from Kenya. All 13 players were used by this coach in this match.

Despite the personnel changes, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team still maintained stability in their playing style, improving step 1. Meanwhile, Kenya, despite having good physique, organized an ineffective blocking line, with no plan to prevent Vietnamese athletes from finishing.

At the end of the match, the home team won 4-0 (25/21, 25/14, 25/19, 25/19). At 10:00 a.m. on August 20, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team left for Thailand to attend the world tournament. In this prestigious tournament, Thanh Thuy and her teammates were in the same group with Kenya, Germany and Poland.
