The current prices for SJC gold, PNJ gold, and DOJI gold are 80 million VND/ounce for buying and 83.5 million VND/ounce for selling, remaining unchanged in both buying and selling directions.
Meanwhile, at Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, the price of SJC gold at the time of the survey was listed at 81.8-83.5 million VND/ounce for buying and selling. Compared to yesterday, the price of SJC gold bars remained unchanged for both buying and selling.
At Bao Tin Minh Chau, gold prices are being traded at 80.3 million VND/ounce for buying and 83.5 million VND/ounce for selling, remaining unchanged compared to the previous closing session.
At Bao Tin Manh Hai, gold prices are being traded at 80 million VND/ounce for buying and 83.5 million VND/ounce for selling, remaining unchanged in both buying and selling directions compared to the previous closing session.

According to Kitco, the spot price of gold in the world market at 5:00 AM Vietnam time today was $2,561.47 USD/Ounce. Today's gold price is down $3.81 USD/Ounce compared to yesterday. Converted using the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,709 VND/USD), the world gold price is approximately 80.27 million VND/ounce (excluding taxes and fees). Therefore, the price of SJC gold bars is currently 3.23 million VND/ounce higher than the international gold price.

Domestic gold prices continued to fall sharply last week, following the downward trend from the previous week. The main reason is the impact of declining global gold prices.
Specifically, as of the end of the week of November 16th, the buying price of gold bars at businesses such as SJC, Doji, Bao Tin Minh Chau, etc., fluctuated around 80 - 80.3 million VND/ounce, while the selling price was uniformly at 83.5 million VND/ounce. This is the lowest level since the beginning of October 2024.
Over the past week, the buying price of gold bars has decreased by 2 million VND per tael, while the selling price has decreased by 2.3 million VND. However, the difference between the buying and selling prices remains quite high, at 3.3 - 3.5 million VND per tael, only slightly lower than the previous week.
Meanwhile, the domestic gold ring market continued its sharp decline for the second consecutive week, following the trend of gold bars. However, the decline this week narrowed compared to last week, indicating that the downward momentum is showing signs of slowing down.
The buying price of gold rings decreased by 1.4 - 2.6 million VND per tael last week, currently fluctuating between 79.8 - 81.03 million VND/tael. Meanwhile, the selling price also decreased by 2.4 - 2.6 million VND per tael, closing the week at 82.3 - 82.7 million VND/tael.
“ This week alone, gold prices have fallen nearly 5%, marking the biggest weekly drop in almost three years. From its peak, the metal has now lost more than $250, or about 9%, making this the longest losing streak since the beginning of the month, ” said Alex Kuptsikevich, senior market analyst at FxPro.
However, according to Alex Kuptsikevich, the recent surge in gold prices since last October suggests that even if gold prices fall to $2,400 per ounce, it would only be a correction. Technically, Kuptsikevich says a significant bearish signal has appeared on the weekly chart.
Kitco News' latest weekly gold survey reveals strong pessimism from industry experts, while retail traders are also increasingly worried about the short-term outlook for the yellow metal. David Morrison, senior market analyst at Trade Nation, said that while the short-term technical picture has improved somewhat, it is still too early to say the bottom.
