As of 2:30 PM on December 23, 2024, the price of gold bars on the exchanges of several companies continued to remain stable.
The price of SJC gold, as listed by Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC), is 82.3-84.3 million VND/ounce, an increase of 500,000 VND in both buying and selling prices compared to the previous trading session. The difference between the buying and selling price is 2.0 million VND.
Today, DOJI lists the price of 9999 gold at 82.3 million VND/ounce for buying and 84.3 million VND/ounce for selling, a decrease of 100,000 VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices compared to the previous closing session. The difference between the buying and selling price is 2.0 million VND.
Meanwhile, at Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, the price of SJC gold at the time of the survey was listed at 83.5-84.3 million VND/ounce for buying and selling. Compared to yesterday, the price of SJC gold bars also increased by 10,000 VND/ounce for buying and remained unchanged for selling.
PNJ's listed gold price is 82.3-84.3 million VND/ounce, a decrease of 100,000 VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices compared to the previous closing session.
At Bao Tin Minh Chau, gold prices are being traded at 82.3 million VND/ounce for buying and 84.3 million VND/ounce for selling, a decrease of 100,000 VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices compared to the previous closing session.

Sacombank and Eximbank are trading SJC gold bars at the same price as gold companies; whileACB is listing the buying price at 83 million VND/ounce and the selling price at 84.5 million VND/ounce, 200,000 VND higher per ounce than other places.
Meanwhile, the prices of gold rings and other gold jewelry fluctuated quite unexpectedly. SJC Company listed the buying price of 99.99% pure gold rings at 82.3 million VND/ounce and the selling price at 84.1 million VND/ounce, a decrease of about 300,000 VND per ounce compared to the end of the week.
Other businesses also adjusted the prices of plain gold rings with differences, such as PNJ and DOJI selling them at 84.3 million VND while Mi Hong sold them at 84.2 million VND/ounce.
Plain gold rings of the Thang Long Dragon brand, sold by Bao Tin Minh Chau, recorded a buying price of 82.98 million VND/ounce and a selling price of 84.28 million VND/ounce, an increase of 280,000 VND/ounce in the buying price and a decrease of 120,000 VND/ounce in the selling price.
On the international gold market, the price of gold surged this morning to $2,625.9 per ounce. Converted using the Vietcombank exchange rate (excluding taxes and fees), the current world gold price is equivalent to 80.8 million VND per tael, approximately 3.5 million VND per tael lower than the domestic gold price.

On the global market, gold prices recorded a 2% decrease last week. US gold futures rose 1.4% to $2,645.10 per ounce, maintaining their upward momentum in the final trading session of the week, but previous declines still resulted in a downward week for world gold prices.
After hitting a two-week low on December 18th, world gold prices rebounded. This move occurred as the US Federal Reserve (Fed) lowered interest rates, as expected by the market.
Along with this decision, the Fed signaled that it would slow the pace of interest rate cuts in the near future, causing the US dollar and US government bond yields to rise, thereby putting pressure on gold prices.
However, experts remain optimistic about the outlook for the precious metal, as China – the world's largest gold holder – has resumed gold purchases after a six-month hiatus. This move is considered one of the key factors supporting gold prices, despite pressure from US monetary policy.
