Entering the final of the U23 Southeast Asian tournament, U23 Vietnam received a big reward

TPO - Winning a 2-1 comeback victory over U23 Philippines in the semi-finals, U23 Vietnam entered the finals of the Southeast Asian U23 Championship for the third consecutive time and was awarded a total of billions of dong.

With a resilient fighting spirit and strict adherence to the head coach's tactics, the U23 Vietnam players made an excellent comeback to win 2-1 against the U23 Philippines in the semi-final match of the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 tournament, despite being 1-0 down in the 36th minute.

This victory not only brought U23 Vietnam to the final but also marked the third consecutive time the team participated in the regional championship match. In the previous two times in 2022 and 2023, U23 Vietnam won the championship.

Immediately after the match, on behalf of the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Executive Committee, President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Tran Quoc Tuan called to congratulate and encourage the whole team. VFF also announced a bonus of 500 million VND for reaching the final.

Previously, after finishing the group stage with a perfect record (6 points after 2 matches) and winning Group B, U23 Vietnam was also awarded 500 million VND.

Thus, up to this point, U23 Vietnam has received a total of 1 billion VND in bonuses for its impressive journey at this year's tournament.

VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan also reminded the team to stay healthy, maintain focus and prepare best for the final match, scheduled to take place on July 29.
