Towards the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the 80th anniversary of the Cultural Sector's tradition day (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025), the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism (Doai Phuong commune, Hanoi) organized activities with the theme "Visiting the Village to experience traditional culture" from August 1-29.
More than 100 people of 16 ethnic groups are active daily in the Village (Nung, Tay, Mong, Dao, Muong, Lao, Thai, Kho Mu, Ta Oi, Ba Na, Xo Dang, Gia Rai, Co Tu, Raglai, E De, Khmer) with the participation of 11 localities will join the August activities.
According to information from the Village Management Board, the August program will have many attractive activities such as: Reenacting the Water Trough Worship Ceremony of the Xo Dang ethnic group, Kon Tum province. This is a unique ceremony containing many beautiful traditional cultural features that have long been deeply ingrained in the subconscious of the Xo Dang people to thank the gods, pray for abundant water resources, healthy villagers, abundant livestock, bountiful crops, and love, solidarity and sharing among villagers.
The exchange program "Village Echoes" organizes a cultural and artistic exchange program of the Xo Dang people ( Quang Ngai province) expressing the people's feelings for their beloved village and traditional cultural features introduced by the cultural subject himself with pride in his ethnic community with forms such as folk singing, performing traditional musical instruments...
Besides, there is an exchange between ethnic groups of Xo Dang, Co Tu, Ta Oi, Ba Na, Raglai who are active daily in the Village to enhance the exchange, connection and introduce the culture of the Central Highlands villages.

There are also folk song and dance programs such as “Highland Dream,” “Happy Village in the Sound of the Khen,” “Vietnam in Me,” and experience the exchange of typical performances of ethnic groups that are active daily in the Village (playing Dinh Nam, singing Ay Ray, playing Chapi, singing songs about the Central Highlands, playing Tinh and singing Then, dancing xoe, etc.); learning about ethnic cuisine and enjoying special dishes (sticky rice, chicken cooked with bamboo shoots, steamed fish, steamed vegetables, grilled fish, dishes made from pork, colored sticky rice, etc. of the Muong and Thai ethnic groups; grilled chicken, etc. of the Dao and Kho Mu ethnic groups; coffee, cocoa, etc.), teaching ethnic musical instruments, weaving handicrafts, brewing wine, preparing traditional medicine, etc.
Familiar and intimate activities closely related to the daily life of ethnic minorities introduced by the cultural subject itself; promoting the role of responsibility to the community, continuing to promote daily and weekend activities to introduce the culture, customs and practices of ethnic minorities, along with experiential activities at the "Common House" of the community of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups.
At the same time, through activities to introduce and widely spread to tourists the tradition of patriotism and revolutionary struggle of the ethnic communities; the stature and significance of the August Revolution in 1945; educate the tradition of patriotism, the spirit of great solidarity, the desire for peace, the will of self-reliance, self-respect, and national pride; express deep gratitude to the generations who sacrificed their blood for the independence, freedom and unification of the country./.
