Closing of the 17th Hue City Party Congress

After 3 days of working with a sense of responsibility and seriousness, on October 4, the 17th Congress of Hue City Party Committee, term 2025-2030, closed successfully.

At the closing session, the Congress reported the results of the first meeting of the 17th City Party Executive Committee. Accordingly, the City Party Executive Committee elected a Standing Committee of the City Party Committee consisting of 15 comrades.

Comrade Nguyen Van Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee, term XVI, Chairman of the City People's Committee was elected to hold the position of Secretary of the City Party Committee, term XVII, 2025-2030. The City Party Committee's Inspection Committee consists of 11 comrades; Comrade Pham Thi Minh Hue, Standing Member, Head of the City Party Committee's Inspection Committee, term XVI, continues to hold the position of Head of the City Party Committee's Inspection Committee, term XVII.

The Congress elected a delegation of 18 official delegates and 1 alternate delegate to attend the 14th National Congress of the Party. The Congress also discussed and gave presentations in the hall on the Documents to be submitted to the 17th City Party Congress and voted to approve the Report synthesizing comments on the Draft Documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party.

In his closing speech at the Congress, Secretary of the 17th Hue City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phuong affirmed that the success of the 17th Hue City Party Congress created new strength, new spirit and aspirations, encouraging the entire Party Committee, the entire army and the entire people to overcome difficulties and challenges, seize new opportunities and fortunes, and be determined to build Hue City to develop in a green, smart and unique direction, worthy of the trust of the Party, the State and the people of the whole country.

The Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee suggested that, immediately after the Congress, Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Front from the city to communes and wards, the Executive Committee of the 17th Party Congress and each congress delegate, with their positions and responsibilities, need to organize well the propaganda and dissemination of the congress documents to cadres, party members and people; urgently develop programs and plans to concretize and focus on directing implementation, assign clear responsibilities, strengthen inspection and supervision of implementation with specific tasks and products, to soon bring the Congress Resolution into life. Each cadre, party member and citizen of Hue today, be the creator of the future, the subject of development, join hands to bring Hue to new heights.

At the Congress, 100% of delegates voted to pass the Resolution of the 17th Congress of Hue City Party Committee, term 2025-2030. Accordingly, Hue City Party Committee strives for the period 2025-2030, the average annual growth rate of total product is from 10% or more; the structure of total service products accounts for 47-49%; industry and construction accounts for 36-38%; agriculture accounts for 7-8% and product tax minus product subsidies 7.5-8.5%; the average growth rate of realized investment capital is 10-11%/year; the average growth rate of budget revenue is 14-15%/year; the average export turnover increases by 10-12%/year; the urbanization rate reaches 70%; there are 19 doctors/10,000 people and 100 hospital beds/10,000 people; The rate of schools meeting national standards is over 93%.

Hue City strives to have a gross domestic product per capita of 5,800-6,000 USD by 2030; basically no more poor households; the rate of trained workers by 2030 will reach 75-80%; the rate of trained workers with degrees and certificates will reach 50-55%; the rate of communes recognized as meeting new rural standards will reach 89.5% (17/19 communes); 7 communes will meet advanced new rural standards; 2 communes will meet modern new rural standards; the forest coverage rate will remain at 57.3%; the rate of operating industrial parks with centralized wastewater treatment systems that meet environmental standards will reach 100%; and every year, 1,700-2,000 party members will be admitted.

The Congress unanimously set out 15 tasks and 3 groups of breakthrough solutions to successfully implement 15 targets set for the new term. The Congress also identified 6 key programs, including: synchronous, modern, smart urban development associated with heritage urban areas; industrial development; cultural, tourism, and service development; science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation development; private economic development and high-quality human resource development./.
