On the first working day, the congress approved the report summarizing the work of the Front for the 2024-2029 term; the directions, goals and action program for the 2025-2030 term of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; the review report of the Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for the 2024-2029 term; the report summarizing comments on the draft documents of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress for the 2025-2030 term; the draft documents of the National Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress for the 2026-2031 term; and discussions.
Reporting at the congress, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province Ngo Phuong Vu said that the 1st Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front delegates of An Giang province is very important, affirming the determination to "Promote the strength of great national unity; strengthen the implementation of democracy and social consensus; join hands and hearts to build An Giang homeland to develop rapidly and sustainably, and enter a new era with the country".

Every year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels preside over and coordinate with socio -political organizations to organize "direct dialogue" conferences between leaders of Party committees and authorities with the people, fronts at all levels and member organizations; organize many conferences to solicit people's opinions on documents of Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term. As a result, there were 13,188 comments, including 1,665 comments from agencies, organizations, local Fatherland Fronts and 11,523 comments from individuals.
The supervision and social criticism activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations have become increasingly in-depth, tight and effective. During the term, 428 supervision sessions were chaired and organized, with many practical contents. In addition, in coordination with member organizations, People's Committees at all levels have promoted the dissemination and education of the law; regularly consolidated and improved the quality of activities of the People's Inspection Committee and the Community Investment Supervision Committee in communes, wards and special zones; and effectively promoted democracy at the grassroots level. The grassroots mediation teams have organized mediation of 1,055 cases, successfully mediated 959 cases, reaching 90.9%.

The Fatherland Front at all levels coordinated with member organizations to widely propagate to all classes of people, communities and businesses about the humane meaning of the emulation movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025". The whole province has completed the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, with a number of 9,082 houses (7,185 newly built houses, 1,897 repaired houses), over 480 billion VND.
The Fund for the Poor has received over 145 billion VND, implemented the construction of 1,530 houses and repaired 1,193 Great Solidarity houses; social security programs worth over 90 billion VND have promptly supported the poor in building and repairing houses, supporting seeds and capital for people to develop production...

On the first working day, the congress conducted consultations to elect 129 members to join the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province, term I, 2025-2030 (3 members missing from the plan). The first conference of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province, term I, was held to consult and introduce positions in the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province, term I, 2025-2030. The conference democratically consulted and elected a Standing Committee of 9 members.
The Congress also consulted and elected a delegation to attend the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026-2031 term, including 17 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates.

On the morning of November 28, the congress continued its second working day.
