The Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) said that the recent floods have affected 355,000 customers on the medium voltage grid, and more than 44,000 distribution transformer stations (TSAs) have been flooded.
By the morning of November 19, 2,170 stations had been restored and 2,248 stations were unable to operate due to the water not receding. Specifically, in Gia Lai, there were 64,814 customers and 856 substations that could not restore power supply. Meanwhile, in Dak Lak, there were 114,952 customers and 1,172 substations.
In Khanh Hoa, the total number of customers without power is 16,164. Of which, Khanh Hoa Electricity Joint Stock Company still has 15,401 customers with 126 substations.
Khanh Hoa Electricity Company has 763 customers with 28 substations. In Da Nang , there are 5,185 customers and 54 substations. Quang Ngai has 2,436 customers and 11 substations. Quang Tri alone has only 26 customers and 1 substation.
Notably, according to the electricity industry, after many days and nights of mobilizing working forces, Hue Electricity Company has restored power supply to all affected customers, reaching a rate of 100%.
As TTO reported, after storm Kalmaegi, there were 31 incidents on the 110kV grid, causing power outages at 17 110kV substations in Gia Lai and Dak Lak provinces, along with hundreds of power poles and lines falling down.
After the storm, broken trees blocked roads and widespread flooding made access to the scene difficult.
At the medium voltage level, EVNCPC recorded 427 incidents and power outages, causing more than 1.6 million customers to lose power - accounting for about 26% of EVNCPC's total customers. The most severely damaged provinces were Gia Lai and Dak Lak.
