Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh meets voters in Quang Ninh

Voters suggested that the Central Government pay attention and have special mechanisms for border and island areas; upgrade traffic routes, and create conditions for tourism and trade development in border areas.

On October 4, at the headquarters of Mong Cai 2 ward ( Quang Ninh province), Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh and the National Assembly delegation of Quang Ninh province met with voters before the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly.

The meeting was held directly in Mong Cai 2 ward and connected online with 23 wards, communes and special zones in the province.

At the meeting with voters, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh informed voters about the key contents of the 10th Session, scheduled to open on October 20. This is a meeting of special importance, not only reviewing the regular year-end contents but also comprehensively summarizing the activities of the entire term and deciding on many strategic policies for the next development stage.

It is expected that the National Assembly will consider and pass 42 draft laws and three important resolutions directly related to people's lives and the country's sustainable development in the coming years. At the same time, the National Assembly will also discuss reports on socio -economic and state budget issues, and monitor the implementation of issued resolutions.

Voters at the connecting points of Quang Ninh province expressed their excitement at the socio-economic results of the country in general and Quang Ninh province in particular, especially after 3 months of implementing the 2-level local government model. The apparatus has been streamlined, clearer in terms of functions and tasks; decentralization and authorization have been promoted, helping to shorten the time to resolve work and reduce intermediaries.

At the meeting, voters expressed their thoughts and aspirations to the National Assembly deputies. Voters requested the Central Government to pay attention and have special mechanisms for border and island areas; upgrade traffic routes, and create favorable conditions for tourism and trade development in border areas. The National Assembly should soon promulgate the Law on Special Economic Zones to create a premise for socio-economic development.

Some voters proposed decentralizing the People's Council at the commune level to approve the conversion of forest land under 5 hectares, the function of organizing civil servant recruitment exams to suit local realities; soon have instructions on arranging, streamlining, and merging mass organizations assigned by the Party and State for localities to apply and implement the project development at their level to ensure consistency; issue regulations clearly defining the functions and tasks for the Service Supply Center at the commune level...

At the meeting, the Quang Ninh Provincial National Assembly Delegation, 15th tenure, and the leaders of Quang Ninh Province answered and clarified a number of issues within their jurisdiction. At the same time, the Quang Ninh Provincial National Assembly Delegation received the recommendations and proposals of the voters and sent them to relevant departments, branches and sectors for consideration and resolution; and received all the recommendations of the voters to synthesize and report at the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

Previously, Politburo member Nguyen Xuan Thang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee; Tran Thi Kim Nhung, Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on Law and Justice; Most Venerable Thich Thanh Quyet, Standing Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, and the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Ninh province also met with voters in communes and wards in Quang Ninh province./.
