Famous for its time-worn tiled bridge and the night market held on the 16th day of the lunar month, Thanh Toan Tiled Bridge Tourist Area in Thuy Thanh commune (Huong Thuy town) is also recognized by ASEAN as one of the 10 most attractive destinations for community tourism.

With the goal of further developing this type of tourism, in addition to festivals, folk games, fishing, and boat races on the Nhu Y River, some residents of Thuy Thanh are now launching a new product that allows visitors to have more authentic experiences by becoming genuine farmers, participating in the daily activities of the local people, and then gathering around a meal with produce they caught themselves in a peaceful setting that is impossible to find in the city.

According to statistics, an average of over 100 tourists visit Thuy Thanh every day. However, most only come to sightsee, take souvenir photos, and then leave. But that was in the past, because now, the local authorities and residents have developed many interesting tourism models that can retain tourists.
