Attending the Conference were Mr. Bui Van Luong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee; leaders of Thai Nguyen University; representatives of: Paris School of Economics, Deakin University, University of Wollongong, University of New South Wales (Australia), Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (Germany), Fulbright University, World Bank in Vietnam, along with scientists , lecturers and students. The Conference also connected online with many universities around the world via the Zoom platform.
With the theme “Driving force and policy framework for economic growth in Thai Nguyen province”, delegates focused on analyzing key issues such as productivity, innovation, green transformation, semiconductor industry, and R&D model between universities and enterprises.
Many studies were introduced, including chip manufacturing policies in some countries, the role of academia and R&D in modern economic development, opportunities and challenges in energy transition, human resource development model for green growth in Eberswalde and “unlearning” thinking in business education. The conference is an academic forum, at the same time providing scientific arguments to serve the development orientation of Thai Nguyen province.
Speaking at the Conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Van Luong acknowledged the contributions of scientists to the development of the country and Thai Nguyen.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Van Luong emphasized that Thai Nguyen province wishes to continue receiving consulting opinions and proposals in research and policy making; the province always respects and accepts scientific recommendations to complete the socio-economic development goals in the coming time.
