Venus Williams confirms engagement to actor 8 years her junior

After much speculation, tennis star Venus Williams (45 years old) has finally confirmed her engagement to Danish actress Andrea Preti (37 years old).

Since February this year, the press has continuously published information about Venus Williams' engagement when the American tennis player was discovered wearing a prominent diamond ring during practice.

And everything became clear when Venus confirmed this information, according to Bild (Germany). The Williams sister's fiance is Danish actor Andrea Preti.

The couple were first spotted on vacation together in July 2024.

On July 23, Venus Williams defeated Peyton Stearns at the 2025 Cincinnati Open.

This match marks Venus's return after 16 months of surgery for uterine fibroids. Venus will also compete in the mixed doubles event at the 2025 US Open.

Talking about the past 16 months, Venus feels lucky to always have her younger fiancé by her side.

"My fiancé was there and really encouraged me to keep playing," Venus said. "There were so many times when I just wanted to quit and give up. He encouraged me to keep going, and it was great to be back playing tennis. He had never seen me play before."

In the past, Venus Williams had a two-year relationship with businessman Nicholas Hammond (2017-2019). Before that, Venus also dated model Elio Pis and golfer Hank Kuehne.
