VFF’s report said that the cooperation between the two sides has brought about many positive results. The two units have held training sessions on preventing negative behavior for security officers, coaches, players, referees, etc. in national professional football tournaments.
In the management and organization of the tournament, negative activities related to match-fixing, betting, collusion... were all promptly detected and strictly handled. A recent prominent case was the negative activities related to the first division team Phu Tho . FIFA has demoted this team and before that, according to the announcement of VFF, the federation had worked with and provided information.
VFF Vice President Tran Anh Tu said that in the future, VFF will continue to closely coordinate with security to ensure a clean and professional football environment. According to Mr. Tran Anh Tu, football-related violations are still latent due to the development of digital technology and online betting. In order for Vietnamese football to develop healthily, especially the V-League to improve in quality, security work and negative prevention measures need to be carried out regularly, while clubs must step up propaganda andeducation to raise awareness among players.
The 2024/25 season is now entering its final stages with particularly “hot” matches in the V-League. The VFF said it will deploy security measures and closely “scrutinize” matches to prevent and detect “strange signals”.
