VFF nominated by AFC for important award of the year

The AFC Annual Awards is an award given by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to the teams and individuals with the best achievements of the Asian football season.

On October 29, 2024, the AFC Annual Awards 2023 Gala will be held in Seoul, South Korea. Previously, the AFC has released a shortlist of nominees for important award categories.

In the category "Football Federation of the Year" - honoring member football federations with outstanding activities in 2023, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) was selected by AFC in the Top 3 nominees for the Diamond award (second highest after Platinum), alongside the Chinese Football Federation and the Thai Football Federation.

Vietnam is also nominated for the "AFC President's Recognition Award for Grassroots Football" (understood as football teams that are active in youth training and community football) in the Bronze category, alongside two other federations: Chinese Taipei and Cambodia.

In the most important award - "Asian Men's Player of the Year", the Top 3 nominees belong to Yazan Al Naimat (Jordan team and Al Ahli SC/Al Arabi SC), Seol Young-woo (South Korea team and Ulsan Hyundai/Crvena Zvezda), Akram Afif (Qatar team and Al Sadd SC).
