The General Secretary is close and exemplary in the hearts of Dan Phuong people

On the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2015), on the afternoon of November 15, 2015, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong attended the National Great Unity Festival with the people of Thap Thuong village, Song Phuong commune, Dan Phuong district, Hanoi .

Here, having a friendly chat with the people in Thap Thuong village, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong expressed his joy and excitement at the development steps and many changes in his hometown Dan Phuong, Hanoi in general and Thap Thuong village, Song Phuong commune in particular.

During the conversation, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong also shared memories of the 1970s, when he was still a journalist, returning to Dan Phuong to write articles. At that time, Dan Phuong district did not have a headquarters yet, the people's rice pot was little rice, but a lot of cassava. But returning to Dan Phuong to attend this National Great Unity Day, the General Secretary realized that Dan Phuong has changed every day, the district headquarters is spacious, the villages are increasingly developing, rich, beautiful, green, clean, and civilized. The material and spiritual life of the people is increasingly improved and enhanced. General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said that these results were achieved thanks to the people promoting the spirit of solidarity and unanimity under the leadership of the Party Committee and the government.

Reiterating President Ho Chi Minh 's words "Unity, unity, great unity. Success, success, great success", General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong affirmed that the Vietnam Fatherland Front plays an important role in building the great unity of the entire nation. In the past, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has launched many patriotic emulation movements, campaigns such as "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas", "Day for the poor", the movement "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas". This is a new movement, the center of attraction to unite people across the country.

The General Secretary hopes that, on the deep foundation of people's trust in the Party and the regime, with the correct direction set forth by the Central Committee, City and Dan Phuong District, with determination and the spirit of great national unity, the Party Committee, government and people of Song Phuong commune will continue to promote existing traditions and experiences, strive to successfully complete the set goals and tasks, and build the homeland to be increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.

Nine years have passed, but the impressions of the cadres and people of Dan Phuong about General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong are still deep. Upon hearing the news of the General Secretary's passing, the cadres and people of Song Phuong commune were extremely sad and mourned as if they had lost a loved one.

Talking to Kinh te & Do thi, Ms. Bui Thi Thuy, a teacher at Song Phuong Commune Kindergarten, said that she felt very lucky to meet General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong when he attended the National Unity Day in Thap Thuong village on November 15, 2015. More specifically, her eldest son Dong Hai Long, who was only 7 months old at that time, was honored to be held in the arms of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, who spoke to him kindly and comforted him.

“When my child grows up a little, wherever he goes, he proudly tells his friends and everyone around him that he was held by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. His grandparents in the countryside are the same, telling stories to everyone they meet. The whole family feels lucky and proud that he has the opportunity to have close contact with General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong” – Ms. Bui Thi Thuy shared.

Ms. Thuy added that although the time spent together was short, she was deeply impressed with General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong because of the kindness and closeness of the Party's highest leader to the people. "Hearing the news of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's passing, I felt very sad, as if I had lost a relative," Ms. Thuy choked up.

Chairman of Song Phuong Commune People's Committee Bui Anh Tung also had many deep impressions of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong when he attended the National Great Unity Day on November 15, 2015. At that time, Mr. Bui Anh Tung was the Standing Deputy Secretary of Song Phuong Commune Party Committee, directly directing the organization of the National Great Unity Day of Thap Thuong village and was also the person who introduced the delegates from the Central, City, and Dan Phuong district to attend.

Sharing with Kinh te & Do thi, Chairman of Song Phuong Commune People's Committee Bui Anh Tung said that being praised by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong for his clear program management made him feel very happy and relieved a lot of pressure.

“General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was very close. He visited, shook hands with the elderly, and talked warmly with the cadres and people in the commune. Therefore, everyone was excited and impressed by the General Secretary. When hearing the news of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's passing, the cadres and people of Song Phuong commune were very sad and mourned the loss of an excellent, exemplary, close and highly trusted Party leader,” said Bui Anh Tung, Chairman of Song Phuong Commune People's Committee.

Following the direction of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, the cadres and people of Song Phuong commune are constantly united and striving to build their homeland to become more and more developed, prosperous and civilized. In 2018, the commune was recognized as a commune that met the advanced new rural standards. This is a favorable premise for Song Phuong commune to continue striving to build a model new rural area.

And just 3 years later, in 2021, Song Phuong commune successfully completed and was recognized by the Hanoi People's Committee as meeting the model new rural standards. Notably, Song Phuong is one of the first 5 communes of Dan Phuong district as well as the whole of Hanoi to reach the model new rural commune finish line.

Currently, the commune is continuing to maintain and improve the quality of the criteria for a model new rural commune, synchronizing infrastructure, urban development and environmental protection. At the same time, the commune will also implement solutions to achieve indicators on urban infrastructure development to fully meet the standards of an administrative unit into a ward before 2025.
