Accordingly, 518 cases were examined; 127 people underwent tests and echocardiograms, of which 29 cases were diagnosed with congenital heart disease requiring surgical intervention and monitoring.
Ms. Pham Thi Minh Hien, Deputy Director of the Department of Health and Chairwoman of the Provincial Children's Protection Fund's Executive Board, stated: "The program to support poor children with free heart surgery has been implemented by the province in coordination with various organizations for over 15 years, with an average of about 20 children receiving surgical cost support each year. This is a meaningful program that brings new life to many poor children with congenital heart disease."
