A typical example is Tan Hoi boat singing – an ancient ritual that was interrupted for many decades, but has now been successfully restored thanks to the dedication of Meritorious Artist Ngo Thi Thu and support from the locality. The boat singing club currently has more than 50 members, becoming a place to preserve and spread this unique art form.
Many other heritages have also been gradually revived, such as: Do singing, Khanh Ha drum singing, Ai Lao singing and dancing, Da Chat slang... Associated with each heritage are clubs, teaching classes, and community cultural activity spaces.
Restoring intangible heritages not only preserves the cultural identity of Thang Long - Hanoi , but also contributes to nurturing spiritual life, building a sustainable community, and linking tradition with modern development.
