On the evening of August 19, the Vietnamese women's team won 3-1 against Thailand in the third-place match of the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship.

Hai Yen, Huynh Nhu and Bich Thuy scored in turn, bringing a resounding victory to coach Mai Duc Chung's team. This is also the second time the Vietnamese girls have defeated Thailand in the tournament.

Previously, the Vietnamese women's team also defeated their opponents in the final round of the group stage with a score of 1-0.
