Comrade Nguyen Tan Dung, former Prime Minister, former Central and provincial leaders, and a large number of forces and people came to pay their respects, offer flowers and incense to President Ho Chi Minh on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the great victory in the spring of 1975, reunifying the country.
The great victory of Spring 1975 completely liberated the South, unified the country, ended the 21-year resistance war against the US; at the same time, ended the 30-year war of national liberation and defense (1945-1975); opened a new era for the nation - the era of the whole country unified and developed in peace, independence, freedom and transition to socialism. That great victory proves the truth: in today's era, a nation, no matter how small, with an underdeveloped economy , but with justice and brave patriotism, intelligence and creative thinking, can completely defeat all invaders.
Central and provincial leaders and former leaders offered flowers at the Temple of the 10 heroic martyrs of the Hon Khoai Uprising.
The great victory in the spring of 1975 not only affirmed Vietnam's strength, position and prestige in the international arena, but also vividly and convincingly demonstrated the values of peace, justice, righteousness, social progress and conscience of the era represented by Vietnam against the unjust war of aggression carried out by the US imperialists in Vietnam.
