In a friendly and sincere atmosphere, the leaders of the two countries emphasized that the State visit to Indonesia by General Secretary To Lam in March 2025 and the upgrading of relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership are particularly important milestones in the bilateral relationship. In that spirit, the two sides agreed to continue to increase delegation exchanges and contacts at all levels through all channels; and continue to effectively implement bilateral cooperation mechanisms.
The Prime Minister suggested that the two countries actively coordinate to build an Action Program to implement the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the 2025-2030 period, and strengthen cooperation in economics , trade, investment, agriculture and potential areas such as digital economy , green transformation, and energy.
Based on the Prime Minister's proposal, the two sides agreed to promote the signing of a rice trade agreement, contributing to long-term and stable rice exports and ensuring food security for Indonesia. At the same time, the two sides supported promoting market opening for goods from both countries. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that he would direct the Ministry of Industry and Trade to work immediately with Indonesia on promoting the opening of each other's markets.
On this occasion, the two leaders emphasized the need to work with ASEAN countries to promote multilateralism, cooperation, solidarity and the central role of ASEAN, maintain and strengthen ASEAN's stance on the East Sea situation and international and regional issues of common concern./.
