Speaking at the opening of the forum, Ms. Vu Chi Mai - Consul General of Vietnam in Fukuoka, Japan, emphasized: "In the context of the world and the region facing many challenges, our business community needs to proactively seek cooperation opportunities. This forum is a bridge to help businesses access the market, find partners and expand business activities".

Vietnam, Thailand and Japan all have attractive tourist destinations, from modern cities to unique cultural heritages. Cooperation in the tourism sector will help attract international visitors and create inter-country tours.

In addition, all three countries have strengths in high-quality agricultural products. Cooperation in production, processing and export will expand markets and increase added value for agricultural products.

In the digital age, digital transformation and e-commerce are areas with great potential. Ms. Vu Chi Mai said: "This is an area that helps businesses access the market more quickly and effectively. I believe that with close connections, businesses will exploit the strengths of each country, creating sustainable cooperation opportunities."

As a major industrial center with industries such as petrochemicals, automobile manufacturing, semiconductors and metals, Kyushu is also an important gateway for tourism and international trade in Japan.

"In the coming time, the Vietnamese Consulate General in Fukuoka will focus on promoting cooperation between Vietnam and Japan and expanding connections with Thailand," Ms. Vu Chi Mai emphasized.

Bilateral trade turnover has exceeded the 20 billion USD mark since 2022.

"We believe that both Japanese and Vietnamese businesses can take advantage of opportunities to expand their markets, cooperate and thrive in the coming time," Mr. Dinh Hoang Linh affirmed.

The forum is also an opportunity for the overseas Vietnamese business community in Japan and Thailand to meet and connect with domestic businesses. Mr. Nguyen Manh Dong, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese (SVC), said: "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the SVC will create conditions to increase the connection strength of the overseas business community. This is a flexible and creative solution, expected to bring practical and effective applications."
