Vietnam-Saudi Arabia: Actively researching and promoting the early establishment of a new cooperation framework

During the phone call, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang expressed her impression and congratulated Saudi Arabia on its recent achievements in economic development, science and technology, and participation in mediation in conflicts, thereby actively contributing to peace, stability and development in the region and the world.

The two Deputy Foreign Ministers highly appreciated the remarkable developments in the bilateral relations in recent times, especially after Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh 's visit to Saudi Arabia in October 2024 with many positive results in the fields of economy, trade, investment, energy, etc.

To continue to create breakthroughs for bilateral cooperation in the coming time, the two sides agreed to increase delegation exchanges and contacts at all levels, and closely coordinate in implementing commitments made during high-level visits. In terms of economy, the two sides agreed to promote the early launch of negotiations on the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), thereby creating conditions to promote trade, investment and connectivity between businesses of the two sides.

The two sides agreed to actively research and promote the early establishment of a new, extensive and substantive cooperation framework, creating favorable conditions for expanding cooperation in all fields, while further promoting the effectiveness of other bilateral mechanisms such as the Vietnam-Saudi Arabia Joint Committee.

The Saudi Arabian Deputy Foreign Minister expressed his appreciation for the Vietnam-Saudi Arabia friendship and cooperation, highly agreed with the cooperation proposals of Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang, and affirmed close coordination in implementing the measures agreed upon during the phone call to deepen and deepen the bilateral relationship. The two sides agreed to soon hold the second Political Consultation in 2025 to review and promote bilateral cooperation in all fields.
