Vietcombank appoints new Chief Accountant.

Vietnam Foreign Trade Commercial Bank ( Vietcombank - HoSE: VCB) has just announced a personnel change for the Chief Accountant position.

Accordingly, Ms. La Thi Hong Minh has been appointed to the position of Chief Accountant of Vietcombank effective December 7, 2023, for a term of 5 years.

According to information from Vietcombank, Ms. La Thi Hong Minh, born in 1973, holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Banking Academy and a Master's degree in Finance, Monetary Circulation and Credit from the National Economics University.

Prior to becoming Chief Accountant, Ms. Minh held the position of Head of Operations Monitoring Department at Vietcombank's Head Office.

Ms. La Thi Hong Minh has been appointed as the chief accountant of Vietcombank.

At the same time, the bank also approved the decision to dismiss Ms. Le Thi Huyen Dieu, the person in charge of Accounting at Vietcombank, from her position, assuming the responsibilities and authority of Chief Accountant. The effective date is December 7th.

Previously, on November 24th, the Vietcombank General Shareholders' Meeting approved the dismissal of Ms. La Thi Hong Minh from the Supervisory Board for the 2023-2028 term to allow for her to take on other duties. After Ms. Minh's dismissal, the Vietcombank Supervisory Board now has three members.

On the same day, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Deputy General Director, was relieved of her duties and elected as a member of the Board of Directors of Vietcombank for the term 2023 - 2028.

Following the election of additional members, the Vietcombank Board of Directors now has a total of 10 members, including Chairman Pham Quang Dung and 9 other members: Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung – General Director of Vietcombank, and Mr. Shojiro Mizoguchi – Deputy General Director;

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Mr. Nguyen My Hao, Mr. Hong Quang, Mr. Do Viet Hung, independent board member Mr. Vu Viet Ngoan, and most recently Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh.

On the stock market, during the morning trading session on December 7th, VCB shares were fluctuating around 85,700 VND per share with a trading volume of over 460,000 units .
