AirlineRatings rated Vietjet with an aviation safety rating of 7/7 stars, the highest in the world that the airline has maintained continuously since 2018.
The assessment is based on the flight safety records in recent years, the age of the operating fleet of 385 global airlines. This data has been assessed by domestic aviation authorities, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and other international aviation organizations. In particular, Vietjet and low-cost airline brands from Europe and America such as Ryanair, easyJet, Frontier... have been in the top 10 for flight safety for passengers and crew for many consecutive years.

AirlineRatings representative said that the unit highly appreciated Vietjet's determination to maintain a safety culture in all aspects of operations while actively expanding its international flight network. The implementation of a safety management system and compliance with international regulations helped the airline maintain good technical reliability indicators, ensuring a high level of safety for operations over the years.
Over the past time, the airline has continuously added new, fuel-efficient aircraft with a technical reliability of 99.72% worldwide . Vietjet also continuously invests in training, maintenance, and engineering to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality.

In September 2023, Vietjet Aviation Academy (VJAA) signed a cooperation agreement to become a training partner of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to ensure high-quality aviation human resources. Previously, the airline and Lao Airlines cooperated to build and operate an aircraft maintenance center right at Wattay Airport, Vientiane (Laos), helping the airline to be more proactive in aircraft maintenance management.
