In order to meet the increasing travel demand during the Lunar New Year 2025, Vietnam Airlines will receive 3 new aircraft this December to provide more than 100,000 seats for the peak season of the Lunar New Year 2025.
Accordingly, Vietnam Airlines received an A320neo with registration number VN-A515 on December 7 and a Boeing 787-10 with registration number VN-A877 on December 8. It is expected that at the end of December, the airline will continue to receive another Airbus A320neo with registration number VN-A514.
The three new aircraft bring the airline’s total fleet to 103 this year, including 31 wide-body aircraft (Boeing 787-9, Boeing 787-10 and Airbus A350).
“Adding more aircraft at the end of the year not only helps Vietnam Airlines promptly meet people's travel needs, but also affirms its commitment to improving service quality, bringing a comfortable and modern experience to passengers,” a representative of Vietnam Airlines emphasized.
Previously, Vietnam Airlines opened early sales of 2.15 million seats, equivalent to more than 11,000 flights across its domestic flight network to serve passengers' demand for Tet tickets.
The increased flights focus on routes serving the needs of family reunions and spring travel during Tet such as between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Vinh; between Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, Hai Phong, Hue, Thanh Hoa, Quy Nhon, Pleiku, Chu Lai, Dong Hoi, Vinh...
For convenient travel, Vietnam Airlines encourages passengers to proactively plan, book and buy tickets early. In addition, to avoid buying fake tickets or tickets with inflated prices during the Tet peak season, the airline recommends that customers buy tickets on the website, mobile application, ticket offices, official agents and request an invoice when buying tickets.
