VinFast launches small electric truck, priced from 285 million VND

Today (May 13), VinFast officially launched the EC Van small electric truck line, marking a new step in the greening strategy of freight transport in Vietnam.

This is VinFast's first electric vehicle model to enter the domestic cargo truck segment, with prices starting at VND285 million (including battery), targeting individual business households and urban transport enterprises.

VinFast EC Van, short for E-City Van, is compactly and flexibly designed with dimensions of length x width x height of 3,767 x 1,680 x 1,790mm, and a wheelbase of 2,520mm.

The vehicle has a two-seat cabin and a rear cargo compartment with a capacity of up to 2,600 liters, capable of carrying over 600kg of goods, suitable for urban and rural road conditions.

The vehicle uses a 30kW electric motor, maximum torque of 110Nm, allowing a maximum speed of 75km/h.

Equipped with a 17kWh battery, the car can travel about 150km after each full charge. The DC fast charging system with a maximum of 19.4kW helps charge the battery from 10% to 70% in just 42 minutes. In addition, users can charge overnight at home with a 3kW portable charger.

Ensuring safety standards, VinFast EC Van is equipped with front disc brakes and rear drum brakes along with technologies such as ABS, EBD, TCS and ESS emergency brake warning system.

The car is warranted for 5 years or 130,000km, the battery is warranted for 7 years or 160,000km, whichever comes first. In addition to the standard version, customers can choose an upgrade package worth 20 million VND to add amenities according to their needs.

VinFast will accept EC Van deposits from 8am on May 25 to May 30 at dealers nationwide and the Xanh SM partner system. Customers who place orders during this time will receive a discount of 10 million VND.

The first EC Vans are expected to be delivered from November 2025. Xanh SM will also put this model into delivery service in the near future.
