On the afternoon of June 18, in Phan Rang - Thap Cham city, the Ninh Thuan Provincial Journalists Association in coordination with the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism solemnly organized the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025); at the same time, awarded the 18th Provincial Press Award in 2024 to authors and groups of authors whose works won the prize.
Mr. Nguyen Long Bien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Ninh Thuan Provincial Press Awards Council, acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of journalists, reporters, editors, press agencies in the province as well as resident reporters in the area who have made many contributions to information and propaganda work in the fields of economics, politics , society, national defense and security; deeply propagating the potential, advantages, mechanisms and policies in the locality to promote and attract the attention of investors and businesses to the province; especially through the press information channel, it has also helped the province to effectively carry out the work of leadership, direction, administration, timely handling of shortcomings and limitations, creating more solid trust among the people.
The Vice Chairman of the Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee hopes that reporters, journalists, press agencies in the province as well as resident reporters will continue to promote their sense of responsibility, clearly demonstrate the spirit and mettle of a writer and especially always have a "bright mind, pure heart, sharp pen"; be "soldiers on the ideological and cultural front"; actively propagate the Party's guidelines and policies; the State's laws and policies in the context of streamlining and arranging the apparatus to operate effectively, efficiently and effectively; reflect the positive aspects and difficulties related to the organization and operation of the new apparatus in wards and communes after the merger...
On this occasion, leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Thuan province and local authorities organized delegations to visit, encourage and motivate journalists of press agencies in the province and press agencies stationed in the area.
Ninh Thuan provincial leaders have acknowledged and highly appreciated the support and active contributions of reporters and journalists from press agencies in information and propaganda work in all fields, especially propaganda on Party building and government building, clearly and effectively reflecting the socio-economic development achievements of the province in recent times.
Recognizing the achievements of reporters, journalists, and press agencies in the past year, Chairman of Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Nam sent a congratulatory letter to press agencies, journalists, reporters, and press workers on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day; at the same time, decided to commend and award Certificates of Merit to 5 collectives and 17 individuals with outstanding achievements in information and propaganda work in the province. The Council of the 18th Ninh Thuan Provincial Press Awards in 2024 also awarded 3 A prizes; 4 B prizes; 4 C prizes and 3 Encouragement prizes to authors and groups of authors with excellent works winning the 18th Provincial Press Awards in 2024.
19th Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism Award
On June 18, at the studio of Quang Nam Radio and Television Newspaper, the Organizing Committee of the 19th Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism Award held an award ceremony for authors whose works won prizes.
Summing up the award, journalist Le Van Nhi - Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Huynh Thuc Khang Press Award emphasized: The award ceremony of the Huynh Thuc Khang Press Award and the specialized press awards of Quang Nam province in 2025 took place at a very special time. That is the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, which is also the time when the entire political system is focusing fiercely and urgently on preparing the final steps for the arrangement, merger, and establishment of new administrative units at all levels in the roadmap for reforming the political system and administrative units on the largest and most extensive scale since the country's independence in 1945.
Journalist Le Van Nhi shared that the Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism Award has been launched, summarized and awarded 19 times so far. From a provincial-level journalism award with a rather modest scale in the early years of its establishment; over time, the Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism Award has continuously grown, improving its structure, quality, types and values.
Following the success of previous seasons, the 19th Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism Awards and thematic journalism awards this year continue to attract the attention of many press agencies and journalists. With more than 350 entries, through the selection process, the Organizing Committee of the 19th Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism Awards decided to award 60 prizes to 60 authors and groups of authors.
Congratulating generations of journalists on the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day and praising the authors and groups of authors who won the 19th Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism Award, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province Ho Quang Buu highly appreciated the quality and prestige of the award which has been affirmed over 19 times of organization.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu suggested that the Provincial Journalists Association review the 19-year process of organizing the award as a basis, and propose that the new city continue to maintain the Huynh Thuc Khang Press Award. He said that he would propose to make the award last forever, contributing worthily to the development of the new city of Da Nang.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism Award also awarded 20 works to authors/groups of authors who won the 2025 thematic journalism award in the fields of: creative startups; payment for forest environmental services; great solidarity and administrative reform, digital transformation./.
