Former Politburo member, former Permanent Deputy Prime Minister - Truong Hoa Binh ; Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Nguyen Van Duoc; leaders of the Ministry of Home Affairs; former provincial leaders; leaders of the province and a number of departments, branches, Vinh Hung district; representatives of the Veterans Liaison Committee of Regiment 174 and many veterans, martyrs' relatives and people in the district attended.

At the ceremony, the representative of the Veterans Liaison Committee of Regiment 174 gave an overview of the formation, fighting and growth of Regiment 174, Division 5. The leader of Vinh Hung district gave an overview of the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh, the genius leader, national liberation hero, world cultural celebrity, exemplary international communist soldier, close friend of peace-loving peoples and social progress of the whole world .

For over 10 years, on the occasion of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19), local people and veterans, relatives of martyrs, and young people from all over have gathered here to commemorate Uncle Ho and pay tribute to the heroic martyrs, release flower lanterns on the Long Khot River, and offer incense and offerings to commemorate the heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed for the independence and unification of the country.

On this occasion, businesses and benefactors presented 2 houses and 100 gifts to poor households, disadvantaged households and poor students who overcame difficulties and studied well in Thai Binh Trung and Thai Tri communes, Vinh Hung district.

During the period 1972-1975, in Long Khot area, many generations of cadres and soldiers endured hardships, losses and sacrifices. More than 1,100 cadres and soldiers sacrificed and forever remain in the love and deep gratitude of the Party Committee, government and people of Long An in general and Vinh Hung district in particular.

In 1997, the People's Committee of Long An province recognized this area as a provincial historical and cultural relic. In 2019, the Long Khot Fort area, Thai Binh Trung commune, Vinh Hung district was recognized as a national historical relic.

In recent times, Vinh Hung district has actively mobilized and called for social investment in items in the relic site. In December 2020, the Martyrs' Temple project at the National Historical Relic Site of Long Khot Fort Area was inaugurated and put into use with phase 1 construction items including the main temple, the three-door gate, the warehouse, two shrines, fences, yards, etc. with a total investment of over 54 billion VND./.
