Vinh Thuan steps firmly, hopes to go far

On August 20 and 21, the Vinh Thuan Commune Party Committee held its first Congress for the 2025-2030 term. - Reporter: In the 2020 - 2025 term, what outstanding achievements has Vinh Thuan commune achieved, comrade?

- Comrade Le Van Du: In the 2020 - 2025 term, the Party Committee and the People of Vinh Thuan commune joined hands and overcame all difficulties to achieve and exceed most of the targets, especially promoting the strengths of agriculture . Notable achievements include the production value of some key industries reaching 8,779.36 billion VND, reaching 127.18% of the target, of which the production value of agriculture and fishery was 6,416.10 billion VND, reaching 128.72% of the target. The average income per capita currently reaches 65 million VND/year, reaching 112.88% of the target.

The commune has newly established 3 cooperatives and 20 cooperative groups. Up to now, the whole commune has 6 cooperatives and 25 cooperative groups. The commune's trade and services continue to develop, meeting the requirements of production and consumption; goods are diverse and abundant, and supply methods are flexible. Total retail sales of goods and service revenue is 3,713.21 billion VND, reaching 116.60% of the target... Up to now, Vinh Thuan has basically met the new rural criteria according to the new set of criteria.

The commune's socio-economic infrastructure has been invested and upgraded synchronously towards standardization, meeting the requirements of production development, improving people's lives and building new rural areas. The cultural and social fields have many positive changes, social security is ensured; the environmental landscape is increasingly bright, green, clean and beautiful. Vinh Thuan has completed its local defense and military tasks; maintained political security, order and social safety...

- Reporter: In the 2025 - 2030 term, what goals and breakthroughs will the Commune Party Committee focus on to build Vinh Thuan commune to develop more and more sustainably?

- Comrade Le Van Du: The 1st Congress of Vinh Thuan Commune Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030 sets out the direction, goals, and tasks with specific and practical solutions to comprehensively develop the commune in the coming term, associated with the practice of innovating the local governance model in the direction of streamlining, effectiveness, efficiency, taking the people as the center, best serving the needs of the people. This is where the political will, belief, sense of responsibility, determination to innovate and the development aspirations of the entire Party Committee and people in the commune are demonstrated.

In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Party Executive Committee of the commune sets out four general goals. First, to build a clean and strong Party Committee and political system; to improve leadership capacity, operational effectiveness, promote democracy, solidarity, discipline and development aspirations for the goal of improving people's lives. Second, to develop the economy rapidly and sustainably, focusing on organic agriculture, associated with trade, services and building value chains, mobilizing all resources to invest in essential infrastructure. Third, to promote the application of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in all fields. Finally, to ensure social security, improve people's quality of life; to maintain national defense, security, political stability, social order and safety; to proactively and effectively respond to climate change and epidemics.

At the same time, Vinh Thuan commune has set out 3 breakthroughs in the 2025 - 2030 term. First, strengthen the work of building a clean and strong Party organization and political system, associated with digital transformation; improve the quality of human resources, focusing on building a team of cadres and civil servants with sufficient qualifications, courage, ethics and capacity, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation. Second, the commune leads the implementation of breakthroughs in innovation and digital transformation; promote the application of digital technology in administrative management, agricultural production, education, health; strictly implement the work of law enforcement. The remaining breakthrough is to concentrate all resources on comprehensive, modern agricultural development with high added value, including developing green agriculture and protecting the environment; strengthening the linkage from production to consumption of people's products.
