VN-Index maintains 1,330 point mark, foreign investors net sell more than 490 billion VND

NDO - On March 18, strong selling pressure in the afternoon session caused the market to turn down, stocks of many industry groups such as real estate, banking, securities, retail... and many large codes plummeted such as GAS, LPB, POW, BSR, SHB, GVR... pulling the VN-Index down 5.29 points at the close of the session, down to 1,330.97 points.

Market liquidity decreased compared to the previous session, with total trading volume on the three floors reaching more than 1,028.86 million shares, equivalent to a total trading value of more than VND 21,560.80 billion.

Foreign investors returned to net selling on all 3 floors with more than 490.89 billion VND, focusing on codesFPT (more than 332 billion VND), SSI (more than 97 billion VND), SAB (more than 49 billion VND), CTG (more than 40 billion VND), HPG (more than 38 billion VND)...

On the contrary, the stocks with the most net purchases in this session includedSHB (over 107 billion VND), VCI (over 65 billion VND), VPI (over 48 billion VND), NAB (over 42 billion VND), VIC (over 40 billion VND)...

On the HoSE floor, the matched order value this session slightly decreased compared to the previous session, reaching more than 17,356.93 billion VND.

In this session, the codes that contributed positively to the VN-Index increased by more than 3.35 points include: GAS, LPB, POW, BSR, SHB, GVR, VTP, GMD, VND,ACB .

On the contrary, the codes that negatively impacted the VN-Index by more than 5.68 points included: CTG, VPB, VIC, VCB, BID, MBB, VHM, HPG, MSN, HVN.

In terms of industry groups, this session, real estate stocks were in red, down 0.95%, mainly from codes VIC, VHM, VRE, KDH, KBC, NVL, SIP, PDR, DXG, NLG, DIG... On the contrary, increasing codes included SSH, KSF, VPI, IDC, HDG, SNZ...

Similarly, the group of banking stocks was also overwhelmed by red, with a decrease of 0.63%, mainly from codes VCB, BID, CTG, TCB, VPB, MBB, HDB, STB, VIB, SSB, TPB, EIB, MSB... Some codes increased such as ACB, LPB, SHB, ABB...

The group of securities stocks also performed negatively, down 0.61%, mainly from codes SSI, VCI, HCM, VIX, MSB, FTS, BSI, SHS, CTS, VDS... Increasing codes include VND, DSE, DSC, APG, VFS...

Retail stocks were differentiated, down 0.14%, mainly from MWG, FRT, DGW, SAS, VFG, HTM, PEG... Increasing codes included PLX, PNJ, OIL, PET, HHS, VPG...

Similarly, the group of raw material stocks also had a differentiated performance, down 0.12%, mainly from codes HPG, MSR, HSG, NTP, VCS, PHR, NKG, VIF... On the contrary, the codes that increased included GVR, DGC, KSV, VGC, DCM, BMP, ACG...

Energy stocks performed positively this session, increasing by 2.41%, mainly from codes PVS, PVD, TMB, POS, PVC, CLM, PVB, MDC... Declining codes included codes CST, TVD, NBC, HLC...

Insurance stocks also had a mixed performance this session, increasing by 0.24%, mainly from codes BVH, MIG, PTI, BMI, ABI... Increasing direction included PVI, VNR, BIC, PGI...

* The Vietnam stock market index today turned down from the end of the morning session and closed in red, VNXALL-Index closed down 8.14 points (-0.37%), at 2,193.99 points. Liquidity with a trading volume of more than 863.25 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND 19,609.05 billion. In the whole market, there were 165 stocks increasing in price, 85 stocks remaining unchanged and 222 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 247.03 points, up 0.26 points (+0.11%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 62.23 million shares transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND 1,091.07 billion. In the whole market, 80 stocks increased in price, 61 stocks remained unchanged and 84 stocks decreased in price.

The HNX30 index closed down 2.09 points (-0.42%) to 498.44 points. Trading volume reached over 29.74 million units, equivalent to over VND597.65 billion. In the whole market, there were 8 stocks increasing in price, 6 stocks remaining unchanged and 16 stocks decreasing in price.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM-Index closed at 100.29 points, down 0.14 points (-0.14%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached over 61.83 million shares, corresponding trading value reached over 684.08 billion VND. In the whole market, there were 176 stocks increasing in price, 112 stocks remaining unchanged and 107 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed down 5.29 points (-0.40%) to 1,330.97 points. Liquidity reached over 903.37 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND19,697.87 billion. The entire floor had 160 stocks increasing, 66 stocks remaining unchanged and 318 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index decreased by 6.26 points (-0.45%) to 1,388.64 points. Liquidity reached more than 336.25 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND9,789.45. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 7 stocks increasing, 2 stocks remaining unchanged and 21 stocks decreasing.

The 5 stocks with the highest trading volume are SHB (over 71.98 million units), POW (over 35.50 million units), VIX (over 32.91 million units), SSI (over 29.54 million units), VND (over 28.96 million units).

The 5 stocks with the highest price increase are PDN (+6.99%), DTA (+6.97%), TMT (+6.93%), FIR (+6.87%), POW (+6.61%).

The 5 stocks with the biggest price decrease are L10 (-6.81%), SMA (-6.80%), SRC (-5.45%), VPS (-4.76%), SC5 (-4.74%).
