Vn-Index continues to fall sharply due to widespread selling pressure

The stock market closed in red on September 22 due to pressure from large-cap stocks, especially banking and securities stocks. At the end of the session, the VN-Index fell 24.17 points to 1,634.45 points.

Market liquidity today increased compared to the session on September 19, with total trading volume on the three floors reaching more than 1,359 million shares, equivalent to a total trading value of more than VND 38,306 billion.

Foreign investors sold strongly for the 10th consecutive session on all 3 exchanges, with a net value of more than VND1,751 billion, focusing on VHM (VND406.47 billion), VIC (VND327.46 billion), CTG (VND276.97 billion), STB (VND152.68 billion),FPT (VND147.41 billion)...

On the contrary, the codes that were net bought a lot in this session included VIX (173.38 billion VND), BID (121.47 billion VND), TPB (83.52 billion VND), GEX (74.92 billion VND), BSR (71.7 billion VND)...

On the HoSE floor, the matched order value this session increased compared to the previous session, reaching more than VND 27,262 billion.

This session, the codes that contributed positively to the VN-Index increasing by 4.81 points included: BID, HVN, BSR, VIX, TPB, KBC, VCF, PDR, VPL, NAB.

On the contrary, the codes that negatively impacted the VN-Index, reducing 17.96 points, included: VIC, CTG, VHM, VCB, VPB, HPG, TCB, FPT, HDB, MBB.

In terms of industry groups, software stocks this session leaned towards red, down 3.16%, mainly from codes FPT, CMG, ELC, ITD, HPT, CMT.

The group of securities stocks traded mainly in red this session, with a decrease of 1.93%, mainly from codes SSI, VND, VCI, SHS, MBS, HCM, FUEVFVND, FTS, BSI... On the contrary, a few codes increased including VIX, BMS, HVA, FUESSV30...

Banking stocks also traded mainly in red and closed down 1.47%, mainly from codes VCB, CTG, TCB, VPB, MBB,ACB , HDB, STB, VIB... Some codes increased including BID, TPB, NAB, BAB, KLB, PGB...

Real estate stocks decreased by 1.79% this session, mainly from codes VIC, VHM, BCM, VRE, KDH, DXG, SJS, NVL, VPI, SNZ, IDC... On the contrary, codes increased including SSH, KBC, PDR, DIG, SIP, TCH...

Although red dominated the energy stocks group this session, it still increased by 0.43%, mainly from codes BSR, MVB, VTV, MDC... Declining codes included PLX, PVS, PVD, OIL, PVT, PVC, VTO, VIP, TMB...

The group of raw material stocks this session leaned towards red, down 1.94%, mainly from codes HPG, GVR, DGC, KSV, MSR, DCM, HSG, NTP... On the contrary, the codes that increased included DPM, PHR, HGM, DPR, TDP, PAT, FIC, MZG, THG...

Insurance stocks traded mainly in red and closed down 0.57%, mainly from codes BVH, VNR, MIG, PTI, BMI, PRE, ABI, AIC... A few codes increased including PVI, BIC, PGI, BHI...

Retail stocks performed negatively, down 2.02%, mainly from codes MWG, PNJ, FRT, HUT, DGW, HHS, PET, CTF, SVC, HAX... On the contrary, increasing codes included HTM, VVS, PNC...

* The Vietnamese stock market index was in red today, VNXALL-Index closed down 51.04 points (-1.78%), down to 2,808.95 points. Liquidity with a trading volume of more than 1,250.06 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND 36,865.72 billion. In the whole market, there were 92 stocks increasing in price, 80 stocks remaining unchanged and 284 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 274.23 points, down 2.01 points (-0.73%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 112.32 million shares transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND2,503.73 billion. In the whole market, there were 53 stocks increasing in price, 68 stocks remaining unchanged and 95 stocks decreasing in price.

The HNX30 index closed down 7.8 points (-1.3%) to 592.97 points. Trading volume reached over 82.76 million units, equivalent to over VND2,138.95 billion. In the whole market, there were 6 stocks increasing in price, 4 stocks remaining unchanged and 20 stocks decreasing in price.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM-Index closed at 110.15 points, down 0.86 points (-0.77%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached over 44.91 million shares, corresponding trading value reached over 650.49 billion VND. In the whole market, there were 89 stocks increasing in price, 83 stocks remaining unchanged and 171 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed down 24.17 points (-1.46%) to 1,634.45 points. Liquidity reached over 1,212.47 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND35,765.82 billion. The entire floor had 72 stocks increasing, 41 stocks remaining unchanged and 262 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 index fell 39.93 points (-2.15%) and stopped at 1,819.6 points. Liquidity reached over 516.86 million units, equivalent to a trading value of over VND 19,510.83 billion. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 2 stocks increasing, 1 stock remaining unchanged and 27 stocks decreasing.

The 5 stocks with the highest trading volume are VIX (more than 47.68 million units), PDR (more than 30.85 million units), DIG (more than 30.05 million units), CII (more than 30.01 million units), TPB (more than 20.76 million units).

The 5 stocks with the highest price increase are SRC (+6.98%), DTL (+6.98%), VCF (+6.98%), SVD (+6.97%), DAT (+6.94%).
