Fire in Thai Nguyen City: Estimated damage of nearly 2 billion VND

The fire occurred at noon on May 12 at Group 8 (Gia Sang Ward, Thai Nguyen City) causing property damage to 4 households, estimated at nearly 2 billion VND.

Of which, Mr. LTL's household suffered the greatest loss, estimated at over 1.3 billion VND; Mr. DNH's household suffered about 376 million VND; Mrs. NTT's household suffered 215 million VND; Mrs. VTO's household suffered about 75 million VND.

Previously, at around 9:50 a.m. on May 12, a fire broke out at the grocery store of Mr. DNH, born in 1990, in Group 8, Gia Sang Ward. The fire then spread to the neighboring house, which specializes in trading and repairing electronic equipment, refrigeration, household electricity, and water and electricity, owned by Mr. LTL, born in 1990. Next, the fire spread to the private homes of Ms. NTT, born in 1966, and Ms. VTO, born in 1991.

Immediately after discovering the fire, the on-site fire prevention and fighting force used fire fighting equipment to put out the fire, and at the same time called the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police (Provincial Police).

Upon receiving the fire alarm, the leaders of the Ward People's Committee and the Gia Sang Ward Police force urgently arrived at the scene, coordinated with the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police force (Provincial Police) to deploy fire fighting measures, and evacuate people and property from the fire.

At about 11:45 a.m. the same day, the fire was controlled and completely extinguished.

It is known that the businesses of Mr. DNH and Mr. LTL have both developed a fire prevention and fighting plan at the facility and signed a commitment to ensure fire prevention and fighting safety. Each facility has been encouraged to equip itself with 2 portable fire extinguishers. The 2 households whose houses were burned down have also been educated about fire prevention, fighting, and rescue.
