After 3 hours of searching, at 5pm the same day, the two tourists were found in the old forest area next to the deep abyss. Rescuers helped them both up to the trail so that a specialized vehicle could take them to safety.
On September 30, information from the People's Committee of Lac Duong district ( Lam Dong ) said that functional units successfully rescued two tourists who got lost in the forest of Langbiang mountain range in rainy and windy weather conditions.
Previously, at 2:48 p.m. on September 29, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PC07, Lam Dong Provincial Police) received a report from a victim about being trapped on Langbiang Mountain and unable to escape.
Immediately upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department dispatched a rescue vehicle, a command vehicle and 10 officers and soldiers to search and rescue the victims trapped on the mountain.
Upon arriving at the scene, Lam Dong provincial authorities, along with the district police, Lac Duong district self-management team, Langbiang tourist area security team and Lac Duong town militia organized a search for the victims amid the rain, wind and slippery roads.
After 3 hours of searching, at 5pm the same day, the two tourists were found in the old forest area next to the deep abyss. Rescuers helped them both up to the trail so that a specialized vehicle could take them to safety.
Through verification, the victims were Mr. TT T (born in 1997, residing in Thu Dau Mot city, Binh Duong province) and Ms. NM A (born in 2006, residing in Binh Thanh district, Ho Chi Minh City).
While participating in the search for victims, Mr. Krasan Sroan of the Langbiang Tourist Area Security Team slipped and fell, causing injury. He was taken to safety by the rescue team.
It is known that the cause was due to carelessness of tourists who entered the forest without informing the guard at the Langbiang tourist area gate, causing them to lose their way and get lost in the forest.
This is an area where many tourists have gone astray, and authorities have had to rescue them many times…/.
