Fostering the special solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos.

On July 16th, at the headquarters of the Central Committee's Foreign Affairs Department, Comrade Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and Head of the Central Committee's Foreign Affairs Department, cordially received the delegation. Comrade Valaxay Lengsavad congratulated Vietnam on its important achievements in recent times and expressed confidence that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam , the Vietnamese people will continue to achieve many new and even greater successes in the process of reform, successfully implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party.

Comrade Valaxay Lengsavad expressed his pleasure at the increasingly deep and broad development of the special solidarity between Laos and Vietnam in various fields, emphasizing that the two sides have recently coordinated effectively in implementing agreements between the high-level leaders of the two Parties and two countries, including the successful organization of visits by high-level leaders of the two Parties and two countries, especially the recent State visit to Laos by President To Lam. He expressed his deep gratitude for the great support and assistance that Vietnam has given to Laos throughout the years; informed about the recent situation in Laos; and reported on the results of the talks and cooperation between the two Central Committees for Foreign Affairs of the two Parties.

Comrade Le Hoai Trung highly appreciated the leadership of the Party and State, the unity of the entire political system, and the solidarity of all the Lao people in socio-economic development, strengthening national defense and security, foreign relations, Party building, and achieving great achievements in all fields. He expressed confidence that under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the Lao people will continue to achieve even greater new successes, successfully implement the Resolution of the 11th National Congress of the Party, prepare and successfully organize Party congresses at all levels leading to the 12th National Congress of the Party; and fulfill the important responsibilities of the ASEAN and AIPA Chair in 2024.

Both sides expressed pleasure and highly appreciated the results of cooperation between the two Parties and two countries, including the important contributions of the two Central Committees for Foreign Affairs of the two Parties; affirming their commitment to continue effectively implementing the agreements between the high-level leaders of the two Parties and the cooperation agreement between the two Committees, contributing to further developing the special solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos in a deeper, more effective and practical way, for the benefit of the people of each country, and contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

Earlier, the delegation of the Central Committee for External Relations of the Communist Party of Vietnam, led by Deputy Head Nguyen Minh Tam, held talks with the Lao delegation. Both sides informed each other about the situation of each Party and country, Vietnam-Laos relations, cooperation between the two Central Committees for External Relations of the two Parties, and a number of issues of mutual interest.
