The delegation included representatives from the Park Management Board, leaders of departments and units throughout the Park such as: the Science and International Cooperation Department; the Administrative and Organizational Department; the Planning and Finance Department; the Wildlife Rescue, Conservation and Development Center; and the Environmental Education and Services Center.
The delegation also included leaders from the Yen Tri Commune People's Committee, the Yen Tri Commune community, Hoa Binh province; the WWF Hanoi Office; the VFBC Project Management Board; and several officials working at various units throughout the National Park.

The program is part of the Sustainable Forest Management and Biodiversity Conservation in Vietnam (VFBC) project, approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development , aiming to develop the production and business of high-value non-timber forest products, helping to develop the economy of buffer zone communities, thereby reducing pressure on natural resources and contributing to sustainable forest development and management.
The delegation held a working session with the Ba Vi National Park Management Board. Leaders from both units discussed, exchanged, and shared information on research and support for the development of medicinal plants for the community in the buffer zone communes of Ba Vi National Park; visited the Ba Vi National Park's medicinal plant gene conservation model; surveyed and discussed models for growing medicinal plants under the forest canopy; and visited the Ba Vi National Park's Cordyceps mushroom cultivation model.
During their work in Ba Vi, the delegation also directly worked with and exchanged views with the leadership and people in the villages of Hop Nhat, Yen Son, and Hop Son in Ba Vi district. The delegation's work focused on issues related to the development of medicinal plants in the community, visiting medicinal plant cultivation models, and learning about the experience of preliminary processing, processing, packaging, preservation, and management and operation of cooperative groups in the buffer zone villages.

Following the successful trip, which included many activities, the leadership and delegation of Cuc Phuong National Park stated that the trip was very fruitful, yielding many results from exchanges, experiences, and practical knowledge learned from the Ba Vi National Park Management Board and the communities of the buffer zone villages in Ba Vi.
With the results achieved from the working trip, the leadership of Cuc Phuong National Park hopes to soon implement the plan in Cuc Phuong, aiming to promote the development of production and business of high-value non-timber forest products, helping to develop the economy of the buffer zone communities - a sustainable solution to preserve the natural resources intact in national parks and protected areas nationwide.
