It is known that 2 pangolins (01 yellow pangolin, 01 Java pangolin) were discovered by local people in the family garden. Afterwards, the people contacted and voluntarily handed them over to the authorities.

The yellow pangolin was handed over by Mr. Ha Van Mang (residing in Ban Phe, Tam Thanh commune, Quan Son district, Thanh Hoa province). The Java pangolin was handed over by Mr. Nguyen The Anh - a resident of Ban Ten B, Thanh Xuong commune, Dien Bien district, Dien Bien to the Dien Bien Forest Protection Department.

Mr. Nguyen The Anh handed over the pangolin to Dien Bien Forest Protection Department.

After receiving the information, the rescue team of Cuc Phuong National Park and the Vietnam Wildlife Conservation Center moved to each location to receive the two pangolins and brought them safely to the Rescue Center in Cuc Phuong. Through initial examination, the health of the two pangolins were stable.

In addition, a pregnant yellow pangolin was discovered. This is considered good news for conservationists because the wild yellow pangolin population is extremely rare. The pregnancy of a yellow pangolin could contribute to the recovery of this rare population.
