An Thanh Thuy commune, Dong Thap province was merged from An Thanh Thuy, Binh Phan, Binh Phuc Nhut communes, Cho Gao district, Tien Giang province, named An Thanh Thuy commune. In the context of administrative transition and organizational structure after the merger, the socio-economic situation of the new An Thanh Thuy commune remained stable and achieved many positive results.

Specifically, the commune maintains the agricultural production area of key crops such as rice, coconut, grapefruit, dragon fruit, and other crops; proactively prevents and combats epidemics, drought, and salinity; maintains clear canals and ditches; and ensures water sources for production and daily life. The total budget revenue in the area reached 60%. The rate of people participating in health insurance reached 98.76%. The commune has handed over 3 gratitude houses to policy families, with a total cost of 180 million VND... The work of caring for social protection beneficiaries and children in difficult circumstances has been carried out promptly and effectively.

100% of the received records were resolved at the Reception and Results Department; citizen reception, complaint and denunciation settlement were directed and implemented in accordance with regulations. Political security, order and social safety were maintained. The 2-level local government system was put into continuous and smooth operation right from the beginning of the 2-level local government system, meeting the needs of people and businesses.

At the conference, representatives of the Economic Department, the Cultural and Social Department, the Public Administration Service Center, the Military Command, the Public Security, and the Fatherland Front raised the advantages, difficulties, and obstacles in improving the quality and maintaining the criteria for advanced new rural communes, military recruitment in 2026, security and order, and propaganda work...

Speaking at the conference, comrade Mai Luu Quoc Dat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of An Thanh Thuy commune emphasized: In the context of the newly merged commune, the workload is large, the area is large, so there are still many difficulties. He noted the tasks such as: First of all, focusing on the work of gratitude on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day July 27, military recruitment, ensuring security and order, strengthening disease prevention and control. Promoting the development of culture, education, health; focusing on state management of public land, public investment, environmental sanitation. At the same time, continuing to promote solidarity, unity, determination in the entire Party Committee, the sense of responsibility of cadres and civil servants of the commune, especially the head of the unit, regardless of the position, to perform their tasks to the best of their ability, contributing to the overall development of the commune.

On that basis, the conference agreed on tasks for the coming time to overcome shortcomings and weaknesses, promote favorable factors to complete the tasks set out in the last 6 months of 2025.
