The newly established Tam Hop commune follows a two-level local government model, merging from the old Tam Hop and Tam Thai communes. The reason is that the area has had prolonged rain for many days, causing serious landslides, threatening the safety of people's lives and property.

Currently, Xop Nam village has 83 households. Of these, 20 households are directly affected and need to be relocated.

It is known that the threat of landslides and rockfalls for 20 households in Xop Nam village has occurred since 2021. At that time, the local government also reported to the Provincial People's Committee, proposing to arrange resettlement areas to move people to a safe place. The planned relocation site is the production area in Cang and Xop Nam villages, with an area of 15 hectares.
